From 1961 to 1971, Motown record label produced 110 Top 10 Billboard hits. Their repertoire of artists included Smokey Robinson, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye. 20 of Honolulu’s soul singers including Tantra, Big Mox, Kahnma K, Rawnie Paton, Riya Davis, Maryanne Ito, DeAndre Brackensick, Candy Diaz, Erika Elona, Stephanie Kong, Jenna Keliikuli, Kristi Masuhara, Melanie Ilana, Erin Smith, Jason Laeha, & the Queens of Smokestack make up a 10-piece SUPER BAND complete with keys, back-up vocalists, THE POWERHOUSE HORNS, to pay tribute to this distinctly soulful and pop sound. They will be performing classic hits like “Heard It Through The Grapevine,” “Superstition,” and “You Really Got A Hold On Me.” KINGS OF SPADE is a high-energy, foot-stomping, shameless dancing Blues-RocknRoll act from Hawaii. This will be there last local show before embarking on a West Coast tour as openers for national touring act King’s X. Hoku Award Winner for Best R&B Album of the Year, YOZA, and the old school flavored MELODIE SOUL & THE BLUE LIGHT FUNK BAND will also perform full sets. This is an 18 & up event.
