Hawaii Parkinson Walk | ||||||
On Saturday, October 22nd, the Hawaii Parkinson Association (HPA) is hosting its 4th annual Walk to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s disease in Hawaii. The event will be held at Honolulu Hale Civic Grounds from 9 am until noon. The event features a kid zone, food vendors, a resource fair, face painters, balloon animals, a 3k walk, an exercise tent and more! The Hawaii Parkinson Walk is an all ages, all abilities event. For those who are unable to do the 3k walk, gentle exercise will be offered as an alternative. Nursing students will also be available to assist people living with Parkinson’s disease around the event. The event is free and open to the public, but fundraising is encouraged and prizes will be awarded to top fundraisers at the event. Registration is free and easy at www.hawaiiparkinsonwalk.org. 1,000 people are expected at the event, with the goal to raise $40,000 for HPA. | ||||||
