Pa‘akai Marketplace
The monthly Paʻakai Marketplace takes place on Friday and Saturday, September 15 and 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. This collaboration with PA'I Foundation, a Hawaiian arts and culture preservation organization, embraces and features products made by local artists, crafters and cultural practitioners, and cultivates a strong Native Hawaiian identity. On Friday, there will be a special “Brushes & Blues“ painting workshop with singer Theresa Bright, starting at 6 p.m. Registration is required by Sept. 13 to participate in this workshop, limited to twenty people, at https://goo.gl/EVajLH. On Friday, live music will be provided by Mike Tulba from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Dayton Watanabe from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Parking is available in the SALT at Our Kaka‘ako parking structure, accessible from Keawe Street.
